[mmmm. . . he seems to settle a bit at that. also no fever!!]
I remember scapegoating Michiru after a completely useless interrogation of the rat.
I remember that we executed Babo Kim even though he killed Meltryllis to help us, because we didn't know who had killed Mammon.
It's things like that, but they're overlaid with what really happened-- we found Nikki and Hunter, executing the former while saving the latter. So it's a bit. . . muddy.
Every time we found a corpse of someone who died in the mansion, our memories were altered. And every time we touched those bodies, they faded away and left a pink-papered note behind.
Each note we found had one of the camp rules written on it, except for the last. All it had was "winner take all" written on it ad nauseam.
The directors keep telling me they're nothing more than a remnant.
That. . . I don't believe.
[leaning into that .-. dad is warmth and solid and grounding, and he doesn't have to think about all of the fuzzy memories he has trying to compete with the real ones]

[ though it's less remembering and more guessing from how he died in the memorial hall. ]
Are you missing yours?
no subject
The mansion. And no, I'm not missing it. It's there, I just. . .
[he trails off]
[. . .]
. . . I also remember how we executed Chuuya that week because we couldn't find the person responsible for your death.
So. . .
[a helpless little shrug]
no subject
That didn't happen. You caught the right person, and you saved him.
[ .... ]
Any other extra memories?

[ if that helps. ]
Is it just mansion memories, or more?
no subject
[more relief as his shoulders slump]
It's just the mansion. We were transported there when we entered the cabin, and it was. . . [a pause]
Covered in blood. All of the blood and gore from each and every murder that occurred there.

[ but otherwise, he is listening.... putting his hand on akira's shoulder if he needs steadying, physically and mentally. ]

. . . I can't say I'm the biggest fan of their greatest hits list.

Don't think anyone is.

I really do wonder what the ultimate message here is.

[he leans into the touch, because while he may not be able to admit to it so readily, he needs the support. he needs something to ground him]
[for. . . a lot of reasons]
[. . .]
Pink trying to get us to play along with their sick game, I'd bet.

What do you think Pink is?
no subject
That. . . I don't believe.

But I don't know who they'd be otherwise.
no subject
Hard to believe when they've taken such an active part of the competition, no? But maybe it's not a who so much as it a what.
no subject
What do you mean?

And how well-defined Pinkie's is, compared to everything else.

[he wishes he knew what the hell "bad vibes" were]

Have you been doing the pink tasks, or abstaining?

[a tiny shrug]

Yet.
The moment they ask me to do something I don't want to do, then I'm stopping.
no subject
Think they'll probably keep escalating.
