I believe you were in the middle of burning grilled cheese at some point, early on, back in the mansion. Should I have assumed that was the exception and not the rule?

[ hmm, it's getting there- though it looks like the marshmallow wants to ooze its way free of the stick and graham cracker both by the time it's taken out of the flames.

Any form of receptor can be damaged by too much heat, and we have pain responses to tell us not to do things that would damage ourselves.

It's not exactly burning ourselves, but for all intents and purposes it simulates it close enough.
